I'm still thinking about the food. I'm going to give this 5 stars!

The food was extremely good, fresh, light, and fulfilling. I strongly recommend the shrimp burger with a side salad. I can't wait to try out more dishes. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. I'm still thinking about the salad and yes, the shrimp. This restaurant has made its way into my list of top 5 Charleston restaurants.

The food was outstanding and it was the highlight of our 3 day visit to Charleston. The atmosphere was down home incredible, the jazz music sublime, we enjoyed the art on the walls and the Gullah Geechee art note cards. Thanks so much for the warm welcome and great food - you will definitely see us again next time we're up from Georgia. Really, really fine!

We lucked into Aluettes (President's Day February 20, 2012) after a half day of SC Aquarium. We had freshly prepared fried chicken and a Salmon burger. Be sure to try the hummus. The kids had grilled cheese and PB and J.

Delicious. And you cannot ask for a friendlier atmosphere. I go every time I get a chance to.

The food was exceptional, the service top notch, and the atmosphere was re-inviting; I will definitely bring friends back for more.

If I were on death row, I would want this for my last meal.
